What you get

The book gives you the three settings. This notebook gives you thirty sessions to install them, and it does not repeat a single line of the book.
Thirty pages to fill in with a pencil, lying flat beside your sheet: ten children's faces, ten adults', ten older people's. Each page carries a real face printed in grey, at the size you are going to draw it, different from every face in the book. You position the three settings before you draw, you lay the framework alone in the box, you tick the check that belongs to that step, and you write down the number of the hollow you stopped at.
And at the end of the notebook, the sheet of ten line-ups: ten strips of three boxes, where you draw the same face again at the three ages, very small and from memory. It is the only page that is looked at at the end, and it will show you what changed between the first strip and the tenth without anybody having to tell you.
If you take the book away, the notebook is still usable. If you take the notebook away, the book is complete. It is not a summary: it is the training ground.
